Safari Plaza Restaurant on Al Muroor Street in Abu Dhabi City, which has trade license number CN-1010084, was administratively shut down by the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) for violating law no. 2 for 2008 regarding food in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the regulations issued thereunder and posing a risk to public health. According to the food control report, which ADAFSA clarified, the facility’s persistent infractions of food safety regulations and its inability to address them led to the administrative closure decision, which required prompt action to guarantee food safety and consumer health.

It stated that unless the restaurant met all the standards for safe and healthful meals, the administrative closure order will be in force. ADAFSA stated that all food facilities were subject to routine inspections to ensure compliance with food safety regulations with an emphasis on proactive consumer protection, and that the administrative closure and identification of the observed violations came as part of its plan to strengthen the food safety system in Abu Dhabi.

In order to enable its inspectors to take the necessary actions for the ultimate goal of providing safe food to all Abu Dhabi residents, ADAFSA urged the public to contact the Government of Abu Dhabi’s toll-free number 800555 in order to report any food violations or any doubts regarding the contents of a food item.
