A former employee filed a case seeking unpaid wages that had been pending for more than a month, and the Al Ain Civil, Commercial and Administrative Cases Court ordered the company to pay her Dhs185,000. According to the claimant, she quit her work because the corporation did not pay her income. She continued by saying that after attempts to settle the conflict amicably failed, it was brought before the court. Despite signing an employment contract, she did not get her salary. She claimed that despite her frequent requests for payment, she never heard back from the business.

The court determined that the employee was seeking unpaid pay totaling Dhs185,000 and had worked under an employment contract with a monthly salary of Dhs75,000. While acknowledging her employment and income right, the company’s attorney contested her claim for one of the months covered by the case. The court observed that the representative of the firm did not show proof that the employee’s salary had been paid. It underlined that it is the employer’s responsibility to prove salary payment.

The representative’s claim that he was not liable for contracts signed by his business partner was likewise dismissed by the court because no formal documentation had been provided to back up the assertion. Consequently, the court determined that the argument lacked a legal foundation. As a result, the court mandated that the business give the former employee Dhs185,000 in unpaid wages.
