On Saturday, a train collided with a public bus in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, resulting in the deaths of at least eight people. It was stated by Thai news that the collision took place in the middle portion of the country, close to an airport rail link station, in the late afternoon. The Erawan Medical Center, which provides emergency services in the city, reported that at least eight people had been killed and more than twenty people had been injured.
There was a line of vehicles that had stopped at a railway crossing when a cargo train struck an orange bus that was in front of them. Videos of the moment of the incident were shared on social media. Additionally, the impact dragged several other vehicles along the rails, ultimately leading to the bus being consumed by flames.
In the aftermath of the collision, it was observed that a number of motorcycles and the occupants of those motorcycles were flung onto the road. After the flames were brought under control, further videos showed a group of rescue workers entering the bus that had been devastated by the fire.
