At a firecracker factory in Manouri Bazaar, within the boundaries of the Pipri police station in the Kaushambi district of Uttar Pradesh, a large fire on Monday caused a sequence of explosions that resulted in at least 11 fatalities and five injuries, according to district authorities.

Teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) were stationed at the scene, according to District Magistrate Amit Pal Sharma, who stated that rescue and relief efforts were still in progress.

The administration reports that five injured people are receiving treatment at Swaroop Rani Nehru (SRN) Hospital in Prayagraj, while 11 deaths have been confirmed thus far. Anyone discovered during the continuing search operation will receive emergency medical attention, according to the authorities.

The District Magistrate promised strict punishment for those found accountable for the disaster. He said strict action, such as property attachment, would be taken in compliance with government directions, and criminal proceedings would be lodged under serious provisions of the law.

Administrative and police teams roped off the area and stepped up rescue attempts after the explosions. Authorities worry that additional individuals might still be buried beneath the factory’s wreckage and other surrounding buildings that fell after the explosion. Operations for clearing and search are still ongoing.
