Visitors to the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition 2026 were enthralled by a painting of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan on a falconry excursion. The artwork included a stuffed bird and combined realistic features with the original photos.

The owner of the “Gir” store, Mohsen Saeed, told the Al Khaleej newspaper that the painting was inspired by a picture of Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed during a falconry excursion. Inspired by this picture, he set out to produce artwork that accurately captured the shot while maintaining its minute nuances. His goal from the beginning was for the painting to closely resemble the motivating image.

He clarified that the effort focused on the bird in particular, trying to closely resemble the bird in the picture in terms of size, colour, detail, and aesthetics. Other components in the picture, such the transmitter and the propeller, were also meticulously examined, with an emphasis on reproducing their intricacies and forms.

He said that once all the elements of the piece were ready, the bird was embalmed at a professional facility before being incorporated into the piece together with the photos. The goal of this approach was to create the shape he had in mind from the beginning, combining the various components of the picture into a coherent whole.
