G42, a global technology group based in Abu Dhabi, and Emirates Petroleum Company (Emarat), a prominent integrated energy company in the United Arab Emirates, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to investigate opportunities in artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, and advanced digital technologies to support the next stage of Emarat’s transformation. Ali Al Amine, Chief Commercial Officer of G42 International, and Ahmad Abdulla Al Ahli, Chief People and Corporate Support Officer of Emarat, signed the contract. It discusses prospective areas of cooperation, such as next-generation service station concepts and related solutions, digital security and sovereignty, and AI applications for the energy sector. In keeping with Emarat’s ambition for a smarter, data-driven, and future-ready business, the partnership seeks to further promote innovation throughout the energy value chain through advanced digital capabilities, secure infrastructure, and improved customer experiences.
“This MoU reflects how Emarat is approaching the next phase of its transformation, by aligning technology adoption with long-term business value, operational readiness, and the changing expectations of the energy and mobility sector,” stated Ahmad Abdulla Ahli. Our partnership with G42 provides us with the chance to investigate novel applications of cutting-edge technology to facilitate more intelligent decision-making, strengthen our company’s resilience, and establish a more robust basis for future expansion. “We are happy to work with Emarat on exploring opportunities that bring together advanced AI, cloud, and digital capabilities with one of the UAE’s most established energy companies,” stated Ali Al Amine. We want to find significant areas where AI and digital solutions can support this sector’s next phase of change by fusing G42’s technological know-how with Emarat’s industry expertise and operational presence.
