The UAE Cabinet has Approved the Government Budget for fiscal year 2025, which Includes Expenditures of Dhs71.5 Billion

The Union General Budget Plan for fiscal year 2025 has been approved by the UAE Cabinet, which is led by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai.

The budget maintains a balanced approach between income and spending by totalling Dhs71.5 billion in revenues and Dhs71.5 billion in expected expenditures.

The UAE’s highest government budget in history highlights the strength of the country’s economy and the sustainability of funding for important social, economic, and developmental initiatives. A component of the multi-year financial plan (2022-2026) is the passage of the 2025 budget. The Social Development and Pensions sector has been allocated Dhs27.859 billion, or 39% of the entire federal budget. Public and higher education programs receive Dhs10.914 billion (15.3%) of this total, while healthcare and community preventative services receive Dhs5.745 billion (8%), social affairs receive Dhs3.744 billion (5.2%), pensions receive Dhs5.709 billion (8%), and public services receive Dhs1.746 billion (2.5%).

35.7% of the whole budget, or Dhs25.570 billion, has been allotted to the Government Affairs sector. Dhs2.864 billion (4%) has been set aside for the Financial Investments sector, while Dhs2.581 billion (3.6% of the overall budget) has been allotted to the Infrastructure and Economic Affairs sector. Furthermore, Dhs12.624 billion (17.7%) has been allocated for additional federal spending.
