We recently had the opportunity to interview Parth Das, founder of The Collective Ace Group (TCAG). As a leader who started their professional path in the financial landscape and later switched to video gaming, Parth envisioned to fill the key gaps in this industry. By founding TCAG, he is actively working towards setting new standards for gaming services, with a legacy that will likely shape the industry for years to come.
From leading companies with products reaching over 1.5 billion users worldwide, to reshaping the global gaming market, Parth Das is building a legacy for years to come.
The Beginning
We started the interview by asking, “Could you please share with us how your professional journey began and what first drew you to the gaming industry?”
Parth shared, “I started my career in the field of finance, consulting for major institutions in the Asian Debt Market. When I shifted to angel investor in the tech industry, I discovered how the video gaming sector was gaining a strong hold in the market. This inspired me to take active roles in gaming companies, including Wooga and DECA Games.
After getting an in-depth understanding and experience on how the industry works, I ultimately found TCAG in 2021, with a vision to bridge the market gaps.”
The Vision Behind TCAG
We then asked, “How do you see TCAG working towards filling the gaps in the gaming ecosystem?”
He added, “If we look closely at the video gaming industry, through TCAG, we aim to provide the pillars, i.e., the servicing companies, what they truly deserve; ensuring they get equal benefit from this rapidly growing industry.
With a focused strategic expansion plan, we are working towards creating a global support network for the gaming ecosystem. When we started, our aspirations were to invest USD 100m in the first of its kind, Video Gaming Catalogue platform. Fast forward to now, our plans have expanded to over USD 300m in investments ”
Innovation and Excellence
Interested in learning Parth Das’s perspective on innovation as the driving force behind the gaming industry, we asked him to share the same.
“As the gaming sector is among the rapidly growing sectors, I believe innovation will only mean long-term growth. With new opportunities in the view, be it AR, VR, and more, the industry’s future is very promising. Although some setbacks are sure to arise, be it in terms of talent availability or infrastructure, we are here to support the growth of this industry, especially in India,” Parth explained.
Milestones in the Journey
Every professional path has its set of challenges and triumphs. To learn more, we asked Parth Das, “What have been some of the biggest achievements that have shaped your current leadership approach?”
He mentioned, “I always believe in pushing boundaries to set new possibilities. Among the moments that are worth mentioning are launching top-grossing hits for Wooga and Aeria Games. Also, I had the privilege of building DECA Games’ largest business unit of its time, which has been a defining moment in my career.”
Plans in the Pipeline
Lastly, we asked, “Could you share a glimpse of the plans that you have set for TCAG in the coming years?”
Parth shared, “My sole plan for TCAG is to make it one of the trusted names in the global gaming industry, as we’ll position the company as a single-stop solution for diverse gaming services. Starting with game development and porting, and expanding into offering funding solutions, TCAG will become a partner that will support and empower gaming companies at each and every stage of their journey.
Moreover, as India is one of the top gaming markets globally but holds a negligible fraction in the revenue share, TCAG will be a pivotal pillar in changing this scenario as well. We will help the Indian gaming sector to develop and unlock its real potential, particularly in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.”
