Over the course of his more than thirty-year career in financial services, Naser Taher has worked in foreign markets and the quickly evolving field of digital assets. Two distinct Middle Eastern recognitions in 2026 have recognized that progress.
The founder and chairman of MultiBank Group was listed as one of Forbes Middle East’s Top 100 CEOs 2026, an annual list that unites business executives from the region’s major industries. The list takes into account executives in charge of some of the most powerful companies in the Middle East as well as their role in shaping the business environment in the area.
Twenty-one years have passed since Taher founded MultiBank Group in California in 2005. Since then, the financial derivatives company has moved its headquarters to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and has grown to serve over two million institutional and retail customers in more than 100 countries. Additionally, it has licenses from over eighteen financial regulators on five continents.
Taher was also honored this year at the 9th Golden Excellence Awards 2026, where he was given the FinTech, Digital Asset, and Blockchain Excellence Golden Excellence Award. At a ceremony in Dubai, UAE Cabinet Member and Minister of Tolerance & Coexistence H.H. Sheik Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan bestowed the honor.
The acknowledgement also coincides with MultiBank Group’s growth in digital assets. The Group has branched out into real-world asset tokenization and cryptocurrency spot trading thru its cryptocurrency exchange, mb.io, which is governed by Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority.
