Applications for the 2026 edition of the Sharjah Publishing Sustainability Fund’s (Onshur) “Launch” track are now being accepted. Through a specialized training program supported by the publishing ecosystem of the Sharjah Book Authority (SBA), prospective publishers are encouraged to turn publishing concepts into profitable businesses. Onshur was founded by Sheikha Bodour Bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the SBA, with the goal of strengthening the Arabic publishing industry in the area and positioning the United Arab Emirates as a major hub for publishing technologies on a worldwide and regional scale.

Launch Track applications can be submitted to Onshur via https://onshur.ae/ between July 1 and August 30, 2026. The The program gives participants the industry knowledge and practical skills they need to start long-term, profitable publishing businesses. After the registration time, applications will be evaluated, and those who are chosen will start a series of training sessions in September 2026. The Launch track gives prospective publishers the information, abilities, and industry insights they need to create long-lasting publishing companies.

Participants will learn about important topics like content creation, rights management, branding, operational planning, and market strategy through a mix of training, mentoring, and industry involvement. In order to help participants explore industry opportunities and build a solid platform for long-term growth, the program also gives participants access to Sharjah’s publishing ecosystem.
