Youth 4 Sustainability (Y4S), a global platform from Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar) that empowers young people to become global leaders in sustainability, is celebrating its tenth anniversary under the patronage of Sheikh Khaled Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council. As it celebrates this milestone, Y4S has begun accepting applications for its 2027 programs, continuing its efforts to enable young people to expand their networks, acquire real-world experience, and improve their role in promoting sustainable development on a global scale.
A new generation of young people will continue to have the chance to interact with experts spearheading change in the energy sector through the platform’s 2027 programs, allowing them to take advantage of new opportunities and advances in the area. Applications are now being accepted for the 2027 cohort of Y4S’ year-long programs, such as Future Sustainability Leaders, which connects young professionals and university students between the ages of 19 and 35 with global business leaders, legislators, and technology pioneers in order to provide them with mentorship and real-world experience that will help them advance their careers in sustainability.
Applications are also being accepted for the Sustainability Ambassadors program, which is intended for UAE senior high school students between the ages of 15 and 18. Through networking opportunities, work experience, and skill development, this program prepares individuals to become sustainability ambassadors. Through direct interaction with leaders and experts in business, government, and policy, Y4S participants will obtain real-world experience. Under the direction of Y4S mentors in the fields of sustainability, technology, and clean energy, they will gain industry knowledge and form relationships to promote change throughout communities.
