The Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Dubai Future Foundation, has spearheaded the spread of flame trees in public parks, homes, streets, and leisure areas.
Sheikh Hamdan posted a video honoring the Flame Tree, which is renowned for its broad branches, verdant foliage, and brilliant fiery-orange blossoms. The tree usually blooms in May and colors Dubai until the end of July.
Sheikh Hamdan stated, “When the Flame Tree blooms in Dubai during the summer, it brings life to every home, every majlis, every street, and every park,” at a meeting with Dubai Municipality and the Dubai Future Foundation. Our city blossoms with it, full of beauty and vitality.
Additionally, he oversaw the distribution of the tree’s seedlings to locals who wanted to plant them in their houses or fields.
The Flame Tree is distinguished by its rapid growth in its early years, resulting in a broad, graceful canopy that requires little maintenance. Its 15-meter-long canopy offers broad shade and lowers the temperature of the ground below it by about 5 degrees.
