With the help of the Al Jalila Foundation, Dubai Health’s charitable division, Kings College Hospital London Dubai announced Thursday that it has performed the first liver transplant in the city on a 13-month-old infant.
Even though the boy had previously had surgery to join his liver to his intestines, his health declined because of an uncommon disorder called biliary atresia. Additionally, he was found to have an atrial septal defect, a congenital cardiac ailment. After the heart repair treatment, Al Jalila Children’s Hospital referred him to King’s College Hospital in Dubai.

Focal therapy is a non-invasive procedure that uses ultrasound beams to precisely target a certain area of the prostate, doing away with the need for radiation or significant surgery.
