His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, a member of the Supreme Council, the ruler of Sharjah, and the chairman of the Sharjah Council for Higher Education and Scientific Research (SCHESR), presided over a meeting of the Council’s Permanent Executive Committee on Thursday at its University City headquarters. The committee addressed a variety of issues pertaining to the Emirate of Sharjah’s higher education sector during the meeting in a way that promotes the growth of its academic and scientific ecosystem, aids in its ongoing advancement, and results in a number of achievements at the level of academic and administrative staff as well as students.
Sheikh Sultan gave his approval for the administrative staff at the University of Khorfakkan, the University of Kalba, the University of Al Dhaid, the Sharjah Maritime Academy, and the Sharjah Education Academy to have uniform rules and pay scales. By doing this, the institutions would be able to function under a single system and laws will be in line with Sharjah’s educational goals and strategy. Additionally, it aims to draw in specialised academic and administrative personnel, give students the knowledge and skills they need, create an exceptional workplace, and foster collaborations with top foreign universities.
