During a phone conversation on Sunday, Giorgia Meloni, the prime minister of the Italian Republic, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the president of the United Arab Emirates, talked about bilateral relations and prospects to further collaboration, especially in the areas of development and the economy. In order to promote mutual growth and prosperity, the two sides reiterated their dedication to furthering collaboration under their strategic partnership.

A variety of regional and global issues of shared concern were also discussed by Sheikh Mohamed and the prime minister of Italy, with a focus on Middle East developments and ongoing initiatives to advance security and stability for the benefit of the region’s nations and peoples. Sheikh Mohamed and Meloni met on the fringes of the G7 Summit in Évian-les-Bains, France, in June of this year. They talked about possibilities to deepen the strategic alliance between the Italian Republic and the United Arab Emirates. Sheikh Mohamed and Meloni discussed bilateral collaboration in several important areas, such as the economy, investment, energy, technology, and artificial intelligence.

A variety of regional and global problems of shared concern were also discussed by the two parties. The significance of the G7 Summit in bolstering collaboration to tackle common global issues and promote economic stability was also discussed throughout the discussion. Under the framework of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two friendly nations, relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Italian Republic continue to develop.
