With effect from September 9, 2024, flydubai, a Dubai-based carrier, and SriLankan Airlines have announced an interline agreement that will increase travel options on specific routes within their respective networks between the UAE and Sri Lanka and other destinations.
Through this agreement, flydubai customers will have access to 16 SriLankan destinations, including Melbourne, Seoul, Singapore, and Tokyo, as well as other locations in Australia, the Middle East, and Southern and East Asia.
Furthermore, the interline will enable SriLankan Airlines travellers to easily connect to over 30 flydubai destinations in Africa, Central Asia, Central and Southeast Europe, and the Middle East via Dubai’s aviation hub. Among them are well-liked vacation destinations like Mombasa, Bucharest, Krakow, Naples, Tashkent, and Zanzibar.
The Chief Executive Officer of flydubai, Ghaith Al Ghaith, expressed excitement about the new interline agreement with Sri Lankan Airlines, stating that it will further strengthen trade and tourism relations between Sri Lanka and the United Arab Emirates. Travel between our two nations has consistently been in demand since we began operating in Sri Lanka in 2010.
