The UAE has established a food security system based on proactive resilience and long-term readiness, according to Dr. Amna Bint Abdullah Al Dahak, Minister of Climate Change and Environment. She ascribed this to the integrated functions of pertinent state entities and the UAE’s leadership’s forward-thinking outlook. She also emphasized that, in the face of present difficulties, the nation’s main concerns are supply chain security and the sustainability of necessities.

Along with members from the public and commercial sectors, Minister Al Dahak visited the Silal Group’s facilities in Abu Dhabi with Dhafer Al Qasimi, Group CEO. With an emphasis on evaluating the effectiveness of supply chain infrastructure, operational preparedness, and the accessibility of the UAE’s strategic stockpiles of vital commodities, the visit demonstrated the Group’s leadership in the food and agricultural technology sector.

She praised Silal as a crucial partner in bolstering national food security, highlighting how its creative approach to creating and growing supply networks reflects the strength of the country’s economy, guaranteeing market stability and continuously satisfying the demands of the UAE community. She emphasized the UAE’s extremely robust supply networks, which have effectively supplied food items to markets in spite of regional difficulties. Minister Al Dahak was told about Silal Group’s “Ensure Essentials” project during the visit. According to her, it is a significant step toward strengthening the nation’s framework for sustained food security by improving supply chain readiness and expanding the flexibility of delivering essential food goods to markets.
