As part of its official tour to the People’s Republic of China, a delegation from the General Women’s Union (GWU) conducted a high-level strategic consultation with the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), with strong assistance from the UAE Embassy in Beijing. The conference is a crucial component of the UAE-China Businesswomen Council’s agenda, which aims to improve institutional cooperation and share perspectives on partnerships focused on international development in accordance with both sides’ common objectives in the areas of innovation and the economy.
GWU Secretary-General Noura Khalifa Al Suwaidi led the UAE delegation. Yu Wei, Deputy Director-General of the CPC Central Committee’s International Department, and others represented China. The CPC Central Committee’s long-standing institutional experience in managing external relations was reviewed, with a focus on the International Department’s role as a crucial channel overseeing a wide network of engagement with more than 600 political parties and organizations worldwide, providing an advanced model for high-level discourse and international forums.
In keeping with the quickly changing environment of international relations, both parties looked at ways to build qualitative initiatives based on knowledge sharing and collaborative programs meant to improve institutional efficiency and support sustainable development trends.
