Just over two weeks after it formally opened, the UAE Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka celebrated a major milestone on Sunday by greeting its 250,000th visitor. As the Pavilion continues to captivate visitors from all around the world, the event was commemorated with a unique ceremony.

Shihab Al Faheem, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the UAE Embassy to Japan and Commissioner General of the UAE Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, welcomed the 250,000th visitor and her family with open arms. They were given a commemorative certificate, carefully chosen souvenirs from the Pavilion shop, and a complimentary meal at the Pavilion’s well-known Emirati restaurant.

Shihab Al Faheem declared, “We are honoured to welcome our 250,000th visitor to the UAE Pavilion.” This significant event underscores the Pavilion’s role as a forum for discussion, exploration, and collaboration. As we collaborate to create a prosperous future for all species, from Earth to Ether, it is a privilege for us to tell the UAE’s narrative to the people of Japan and the rest of the globe,” he continued.

Using sustainable processes and Japanese carpentry knowledge, the Pavilion’s design reimagines traditional areesh architecture via a beautiful oasis of 90 towering rachis columns, inspired by the UAE’s beloved date palm tree.
