Dubai Police seized ten unlawful street vendors selling food products in public spaces, violating safety standards. The sellers were putting the community at danger by operating without the required licenses or following health regulations.

The arrests were made as part of the Ramadan campaign. Authorities emphasized that establishing unauthorized impromptu marketplaces in public streets and alleys violates safety standards and detracts from the city’s appeal.

Colonel Ahmad Al Adeedi, Deputy Director of the Suspects and Criminal Phenomena Department at the General Department of Criminal Investigation, stated that the crackdown on unlicensed vendors is a component of Dubai Police’s endeavors to maintain public safety and security in coordination with partner authorities.

These unapproved vendors typically set up shop close to labor housing areas, where they draw clients by providing food items in unsanitary settings, Colonel Al Adeedi said.

In order to guarantee food quality and safety, he advised the people to rely on authorized enterprises rather than buying goods from unauthorized street sellers or unregulated vehicles selling food products in public areas.
