According to the local fire service, a small plane struck a bus on a popular road in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Friday morning, killing two persons and injuring six more. The two victims were discovered burned in the fuselage of the Beech F90 King Air plane, which was travelling from Sao Paulo to Porto Alegre in southern Brazil, according to local officials.
The jet struck the bus after it crashed on Marques de Sao Vicente Avenue, they claimed. Governor Tarcisio de Freitas of São Paulo said on social media, Unfortunately we started the day with this tragic plane crash,” stating that the pilot and co-pilot of the aircraft were killed.
The prompt response of the fire department, which put out the fire in a matter of minutes and kept this tragedy from getting worse, deserves special attention. A woman who was riding the bus and a biker who was hit by a piece of equipment were brought to the hospital, according to the fire service. Another four were slightly hurt.
