While welcoming Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the White House on Monday, US President Donald Trump announced that the US had planned to hold talks with Iran and made progress on a contentious plan to move Palestinians out of Gaza.
At the start of a dinner with Israeli and US officials, Netanyahu told reporters that Israel and the US were collaborating with other nations that would provide Palestinians with a “better future,” implying that Gaza’s citizens may relocate to nearby countries. Netanyahu stated, “People should be free to leave if they so choose, but if they wish to stay, they can stay.
We are closely collaborating with the United States to identify nations that will endeavour to fulfil their constant claims that they wish to provide a brighter future for the Palestinian people. We may be on the verge of discovering several nations.
When questioned about the relocation of Palestinians, Trump first bowed to Netanyahu but later claimed that the nations surrounding Israel were assisting. “Every single one of the bordering nations has cooperated with us quite well. Therefore, something positive will occur,” Trump stated.
