For decades, Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has represented authentic Indian beauty globally. Returning to her origins, the former Miss World chose to walk the Cannes red carpet this year as an ideal Indian married woman dressed in a saree and indoor. The “Guru” actress astonished everyone by wearing a traditional white handloom saree with golden decoration, which she matched with a matching full-sleeved blouse and a drape-style dupatta.
Aish paired the saree with a crimson choker, a gorgeous ruby neckpiece, and matching earrings. We also noticed a free ring on her hand as she waved to the photographers on the red carpet. She was observed wearing black lipstick with a crimson tinge, subtle blush, eyeshadow, and heavy eyeliner. Aishwarya kept her hair open, with a heavy coating of sindoor in the part. On Wednesday, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan arrives for ‘The History of Sound’ screening at the 78th Cannes Film Festival in Cannes.
Designer Manish Malhotra posted photos of Aish from Cannes on Instagram, captioned, “The OG Indian Queen of Cannes @aishwaryaraibachchan_arb embraces Standard White Handloom in a handmade kadwa ivory Handloom Banarasi saree with a handwoven tissue drape and imperial heirloom of ruby stones from @manishmalhotrajewellery #mymmsaree.” With her recent appearances, Aishwarya has paid homage to her Indian heritage. The “Dhoom 2” actress has established trends with her Cannes appearances. Aishwarya made her 22nd visit to the film festival as L’Oréal Paris’ worldwide ambassador.
