The Republic of the Congo has completed a secondary listing on Nasdaq Dubai, which complements its initial listing on the London Stock Exchange and increases its visibility among Middle Eastern institutional investors, banks, and corporations. The action strengthens the United Arab Emirates’ and the Republic of the Congo’s increasing commercial and financial connections, which have been formalized under a Comprehensive Commercial Partnership Agreement (CEPA).

Christian Yoka, Minister of Finance, Budget, and Public Portfolio of the Republic of the Congo, rang the market opening bell today at Nasdaq Dubai, in the presence of Hamed Ali, CEO of Nasdaq Dubai and Dubai Financial Market (DFM), and Mark Steward, Chief Executive, Dubai Financial Services Authority.

Christian Yoka, Minister of Finance, Budget, and Public Portfolio of the Republic of the Congo, stated, “The Republic of the Congo places a high value on strengthening its economic and financial partnership with the UAE.

We are happy to be the first African sovereign issuer to list securities in the UAE. The listing of these bonds on Nasdaq Dubai is consistent with our overall objective of expanding our investor base and demonstrates our confidence in the UAE market and its ability to connect issuers with investors worldwide.
