After a stellar first nine months of the year, Dubai International Airport (DXB) is poised to set a new annual traffic record. DXB welcomed 68.6 million visitors by the end of September, a 6.3% increase over the same time in 2023.
DXB handled 23.7 million guests in Q3, continuing the success from the first half of 2024. With more than 111,300 flights completed in Q3, the overall number of air movements (all operations) for the first nine months increased to 327,700, a 6.4% increase from the previous year.
“This year has showcased the very best of DXB — showcasing its continued growth, resilience, and commitment to service excellence, qualities that have become synonymous with the airport,” stated Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubai Airports.
Our personnel are the key to this success; their commitment and teamwork have kept us at the top for more than ten years by driving our record-breaking guest numbers and strong operational performance. In order to successfully deliver an exceptional hospitality experience, we continue to invest in customer service and technical improvements, keeping DXB as our primary priority.
