Xi Jinping, the president of China, recently visited Egypt on a state visit. In order to foster peace, stability, and long-term security in the Middle East, President Xi proposed four ideas for creating a new security architecture in the region during his meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi: strengthening international coordination on regional common security, advancing the comprehensive governance of regional common security, unleashing the internal momentum of regional common security, and cementing the development foundation of regional common security.

The regional nations’ common desire for peace, stability, and growth is addressed by this significant initiative. President Xi has once again contributed to China’s strategy for establishing enduring peace and stability in the Middle East, following his four-point proposal on fostering peace and stability in the region and his four principles on the Palestinian issue.
