Following an extensive search operation involving various specialised rescue and emergency response teams, Dubai Police, represented by Hatta Police Station, successfully retrieved an Arab national who had become lost in the mountains of Hatta.
Brigadier Mubarak Al Ketbi, Director of Hatta Police Station, stated that the Command-and-Control Centre at the General Department of Operations got a report last Saturday from a man seeking assistance after becoming stuck in the Hatta mountain range.
Brigadier Al Ketbi explained that immediately after receiving the report, the “Brave Team,” which included reconnaissance and rescue units, was deployed alongside Hatta Police patrols, the National Ambulance air unit, the Dubai Police Air Wing, the Difficult Missions Team from the General Department of Transport and Rescue, National Guard patrols, and paramedics from the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services.
He stated that the rescue personnel had substantial obstacles in locating the missing individual due to the report’s incorrect location, rough terrain, severe mountain elevations, and other operational issues. Despite these challenges, the troops handled the mission professionally, relying on their significant experience and specific knowledge. After two days of seeking, the man was found and given the appropriate medical attention.
