The President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, met with Dr. Amna Bint Abdullah Al Dahak, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, at the Serbia Palace in Belgrade to talk about the strengthening of strategic alliances that support sustainable food security systems under the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) signed between the UAE and the Republic of Serbia. She led a high-level UAE team of senior government officials and representatives from the public and commercial sectors on her official visit to Serbia, where the meeting took place. In addition to promoting common economic development objectives, the visit sought to deepen bilateral collaboration in food security and sustainable agriculture.
Both sides emphasized the UAE-Serbia relationship’s strength and increasing momentum throughout the meeting. Increasing collaboration in agriculture, sustainable development, and food security was the main topic of discussion. They also stated a common goal to increase cooperation in important areas like livestock production and commended the accomplishments of Emirati businesses doing business in Serbia. Under the UAE-Serbia CEPA, both sides discussed the significance of developing resilient food systems and bolstering collaboration.
Dr. Amna Al Dahak said she was pleased with the visit and that it shows how strong bilateral ties are becoming. “A key strategic pillar of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership between the UAE and the Republic of Serbia is strengthening the sustainability and resilience of food security systems,” she stated. By taking this crucial step, we hope to create a model for international cooperation that combines political vision with investment and trade capabilities, transforming them into real projects that unite the public and private sectors and support robust supply chains that serve both nations’ common interests.
