To foster intercultural communication through linguistic and cultural exploration, the House of Wisdom in Sharjah has introduced two new educational and cultural programs: “Wisdom Speaks Korean” and “Wisdom Speaks American Sign Language.” The programs will run from September to June 2026 and teach participants inclusive and accessible communication techniques. In partnership with the Dream Centre Institute, the “Wisdom Speaks Korean” program offers a comprehensive experience that combines formal language training with hands-on cultural seminars.
Along with hands-on activities that expose them to different facets of Korean culture, such as dressing in traditional Hanbok, cooking Korean food, practicing Taekwondo, studying Minhwa paintings, and taking part in modern K-pop art, participants will also learn the Korean language and script. The program, which is designed for all age groups, helps learners connect more intimately with Korea’s legacy by emphasising language development through cultural involvement.
Delivered in collaboration with the Eton Institute Dubai, the “Wisdom Speaks American Sign Language” program teaches participants of all ages the fundamentals of ASL with a focus on managing a variety of real-world scenarios.
