
The UAE-UK partnership to combat illegal money flows was discussed during a meeting between UAE Minister of State Ahmed Al Sayegh and UK Minister of State for Security Dan Jarvis MP in Abu Dhabi.
Senior officials from both countries convened the meeting to discuss important collaboration areas, such as financial security, anti-money laundering protocols, and new threats to the global financial system.
Both sides emphasized during the talks their common dedication to advancing openness, fortifying regulatory frameworks, and respecting global norms in the battle against financial crimes. They emphasized how important collaborative efforts and information sharing are to creating a safe and robust financial system.
The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan’s Minister of Finance, Dr. Abdelhakim Shibli, met with Mohamed Hadi Al Hussaini, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, in the Ministry’s office in Dubai in October 2024. The main goal of the discussion was to discuss how the two sister countries could work together more effectively in the financial sector and other areas of shared interest.
Al Hussaini emphasized the close brotherly connections between the United Arab Emirates and Jordan, pointing to the long-standing cooperation in the social, cultural, and economic spheres. Dr. Shibli expressed his desire to expand financial sector cooperation to benefit both countries’ interests while praising the robustness of the UAE and Jordan’s economic and financial ties.
