
The UAE is fully committed to carrying out the terms of the Agreement on Facilitating and Developing Trade Exchange among Arab Countries, according to Economy Minister Abdullah Bin Touq Al Marri. Touq Al Marri underlined that this agreement must be developed in accordance with the difficulties and advances of the modern economy.
Additionally, he called for the Arab Framework Agreement on Liberalisation of Trade in Services Among Arab Countries to be activated, pointing out that the Arab world has capital surpluses and exciting investment prospects, but that these must be utilised adequately through practical measures.
At the ministerial level, the minister commented during the 115th session of the Arab Economic and Social Council on Friday at the General Secretariat of the Arab League headquarters. After the UAE presided over the previous session, the minister gave the Kingdom of Bahrain the presidency of the current one. Bahrain has been responsible for hosting the preliminary sessions for the 115th meeting of the Arab Economic and Social Council (AESC) by the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
