Over 60 million square feet will be transformed around the emirate thanks to 52 ground-breaking projects and experiences announced by the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) with Dhs7.2 billion in funding. This news coincides with Shurooq’s 15th anniversary, marking a journey of cultural preservation, community impact, and sustainable growth.

Shurooq has concentrated on developing locations that provide significant, enduring connections between people and place rather than just growing its presence. Its initiatives, which range from immersive experiences to real estate developments, have played a significant role in establishing Sharjah as a prosperous, forward-thinking travel destination. 7.7 km of built beachfront, which provides distinctive seaside getaways that honour the emirate’s natural beauty, are among its accomplishments.

These efforts, which range from integrated experiences to real estate, tourism, and entertainment projects, have been crucial in enhancing Sharjah’s standing as a vibrant and alluring travel destination. They consist of ten unique hospitality-related projects with partnerships and investments totalling Dhs 850 million and three significant real estate projects with partnerships and investments totalling Dhs 5 billion. While the arts and cultural sector saw five projects with total assets of Dhs 447 million, the retail and leisure sectors witnessed eighteen projects with total expenditures over Dhs 870 million. Shurooq and its partners completed ten projects in the F&B industry, ranging in size from small to medium-sized businesses.
