
A renowned gastroenterology event, the Emirates Digestive Diseases Week (EDDW) 2025, was successfully held at the Mövenpick Grand Al Bustan Hotel in Dubai from April 25–26. Over 1,200 healthcare professionals attended the conference, which was organized in collaboration with Mediclinic Middle East and conducted by iConference. It highlighted the transformative power of innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration in patient care, promoting discussion on groundbreaking developments in digestive health.
Leading worldwide organisations, such as the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ESGE), the European Crohn’s and Colitis Organisation (ECCO), and the British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG), supported the program’s globally approved scientific sessions.
Modern endoscopic techniques, the use of AI in diagnostic innovation, and innovative treatment strategies for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) were among the main topics covered. The need of interdisciplinary collaboration in modern healthcare delivery was further highlighted in a specific practical training course for nursing personnel.
Hein van Eck, the CEO of Mediclinic Middle East, praised the occasion as a historic accomplishment in his inauguration speech. He emphasized the organization’s strong commitment to enhancing medical education and thanked the organizers for staging an extraordinary meeting of remarkable value.
