Under the direction of His Highness, the United Arab Emirates’ 21st aid aircraft touched down at Beirut Airport as part of the “The UAE is with you, Lebanon” campaign, which was started in early October 2024 to aid the Lebanese people. Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the president; His Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the deputy prime minister and minister of presidential affairs; and Sheikh Theyab Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the chairman of the International Humanitarian Affairs Council and deputy chief of staff for development affairs and the families of martyrs.
Numerous medical supplies are included in this aircraft since they are necessary for many Lebanese mothers, children, and the elderly. It is among several UAE relief aid planes as a continuous humanitarian air bridge to support the Lebanese people in the face of difficult circumstances, critical times, and urgent situations in the region.
Based on the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan’s unwavering humanitarian legacy and his unwavering approach to lending a helping hand to those affected, helping the needy, and standing with those in need worldwide, Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for International Development and International Organizations and member of the International Humanitarian Affairs Council, reaffirmed the UAE’s ongoing international commitment to respond urgently to those affected by such wars and conflicts.
