Starting next year, Etihad Rail will allow UAE citizens to travel throughout the whole nation. On social media, a National Experts Programme member and destination marketer who recently boarded the train from Abu Dhabi to Fujairah verified that her journey from Abu Dhabi to Dubai, which typically takes around 90 minutes, only took 25 minutes.

In response to a remark on her video about her trip on the nation’s inaugural rail service, which is not yet accessible to the general public, Sarah Luqman said, “[The journey] was around 25 minutes from Abu Dhabi to Dubai.” The trip from Dubai to Fujairah took around 90 minutes, give and take.

To participate in the fifth module of the National Experts Programme (NEP), Sarah flew with a group from Abu Dhabi to Fujairah. Currently in its fourth cohort, the program serves as a springboard for experts residing in the United Arab Emirates to contribute to the transformation of future-growth industries.

Last week, it was disclosed that Etihad Rail plans to begin passenger rail service in 2026 at a meeting with Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region.
