The Dubai Events Security Committee has said that it is prepared to guarantee smooth traffic control and public safety for the forthcoming New Year’s Eve festivities.
Focusing on key event locations like Downtown Dubai, extensive efforts have been put in place to make it easier to move about the city.
Dubai Police have set up 33 support tents, including 19 in Downtown Dubai, throughout important event locations to aid revellers. Visitors can report lost things or return found belongings thanks to these tents’ Lost and Found” services. The Dubai Police website offers online access to the service as well. The tents will also offer basic questions, first aid, and the option to report illegal activity if needed. The group emphasized the importance of dialling 999 for urgent situations and 901 for non-emergencies.
Dubai Police urged those celebrating on the water to sign up for the “Sail Safely” program through the Dubai Police app. This technology ensures quick reaction times in the event of difficulty by allowing users to input their travel plans and offering emergency assistance through an SOS function.
Authorities in Dubai have set aside three celebration locations for workers in Muhaisnah, Al Quoz, and Jebel Ali, each of which can accommodate 10,000 people, to reduce traffic. A festive environment is created for all participants by these venues’ entertainment stages, fireworks display screens, cultural acts, and prize giveaways.
