With the arrival of their newborn infants, four families in Abu Dhabi celebrated a new beginning as the globe celebrated the beginning of 2025 with fireworks, music, and joy. Born in 2025 to 2039, these pioneers of Generation Beta have given their families and the community a renewed sense of hope.
One of the first patients to arrive was Ghayah Mohamed Salem Alqmzi, a newborn girl delivered to Emirati parents Mohamed Salem Alqmzi and Salama Khamis Abu Ghaboob at Burjeel Hospital in Abu Dhabi. She arrived at 12:01 am weighing 2.490 kg, making her the sixth child in her family. Despite the happiness and hope that each of our children has brought us, greeting Ghayah on New Year’s.
Mariyam Abdulwahid Alshaikha was born at Burjeel Hospital at 01:06 in the morning. Mariyam, the family’s second child, was born to Emirati parents Abdulwahid Naser Hadi Al Shaikha and Seham Nasser Saleh and weighs 2.840 kg. It’s a chance to remember to welcome our daughter as the globe starts a new chapter. It will always be engraved in our hearts. The delighted parents said, “We pray for her health and wish her the best happiness in the world.
