According to the AI Index Report 2026 published by Stanford University’s Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence (HAI), the United Arab Emirates has been acknowledged as a major global center for AI. The UAE is among the top nations in terms of institutional support for AI strategy, awareness, and governance, according to the research, which also noted the country’s excellent performance in terms of skills, jobs, adoption, and talent across international benchmarks. It claimed that, along with Singapore, the UAE routinely ranks highly in the world for AI capabilities and exhibits high levels of AI adoption that surpass expectations in relation to GDP per capita.
According to the survey, over 80% of workers in the UAE regularly utilize AI in the workplace with high levels of trust, and the nation is among the fastest-growing in the world in terms of AI engineering skills, with development in technical expertise surpassing general awareness. According to the survey, the UAE ranked favorably in terms of net talent inflow at almost 4.40 per 10,000 LinkedIn members, and the concentration of AI talent there expanded by more than 100% between 2019 and 2025.
Additionally, it noted that in 2025, AI-related job ads made up about 2.87 percent of all job listings, making the UAE one of the world leaders in the need for AI workers. The report emphasized the UAE’s dedication to incorporating AI into education through the National AI Strategy 2031, pointing out that starting with the 2025–2026 academic year, AI education at all school levels will be required. It will cover foundational topics like data, algorithms, innovation, and ethics.
