
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva Monday on the sidelines of the World Government Summit 2025, which is taking place in Dubai until February 13 with the theme “Shaping Future Governments.”
After welcoming Kristalina Georgieva, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed spoke with her about the UAE’s cooperation with the IMF, the state of the world economy, and measures to support international efforts to create a sustainable global economic system.
The gathering also emphasised the significance of embracing creative solutions to regional and global problems, promoting global economic expansion, and aiding community-based sustainable development projects.
Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic and Trade Affairs Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri and Minister of State for Financial Affairs Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini attended the meeting.
According to the International Monterey Fund (IMF), global growth will stay around 3.3% this year and the following, before reducing to little over 3% over the following five years—much lower than the historical average.
