Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated after discussions with his European colleagues on Iran’s nuclear program that Tehran is prepared to “consider diplomacy” once more only once Israel’s “aggression is stopped.”
Iran is prepared to reexamine diplomacy when aggression has ceased and the perpetrator has been held responsible for his crimes. Araghchi told reporters after the discussions at a hotel in Geneva, “We welcome the continuation of negotiation with Britain, France, Germany, and the European Union “and express our readiness to meet again in the near future.
Iran stated, without providing any details, that its air defences had been activated near Bushehr on Friday. Israel claims that while it is committed to destroying Iran’s nuclear capability, it also wishes to prevent any catastrophic catastrophe.
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres urged both sides to “give peace a chance” and warned that the Iran-Israel dispute might “ignite a fire no one can control” when addressing the Security Council.
According to a senior Iranian source who spoke to Reuters, Iran was prepared to discuss restrictions on uranium enrichment, but any suggestion that uranium be completely unenriched would be turned down, “especially now under Israel’s strikes.” Speaking in Haifa, Israel’s Foreign Minister Saar expressed his suspicion of Iran’s intentions. “We know from the record of Iran they are not dealing truthfully,” he added.
