A7, a Russian fintech company, has introduced an international payment platform that enables companies and people to settle invoices with digital assets while recipients receive traditional bank transfers in currencies such as the dirham of the United Arab Emirates. According to the corporation, A7 International offers settlement within one business day and costs a flat commission of 0.3%. Transfers in US dollars, euros, Chinese yuan, and UAE dirhams are supported; additional currencies can be obtained by previous agreement. The debut coincides with Russia’s efforts to create alternative international payment channels in response to Western sanctions that have limited its access to the international banking system.

On the TRON blockchain, consumers make payments with USDT, a stablecoin based on the US dollar. A7 then uses the recipient’s financial information to set up a bank transfer, including via the SWIFT network. Since the money is deposited into their bank accounts, recipients do not require bitcoin wallets. A7 has quickly spread throughout the Middle East, China, Africa, and Latin America since its founding in 2024 with the help of Russia’s state-owned PSB bank. According to the corporation, its network serves about 15,000 corporate clients in over 100 countries and processes about 2,000 transactions every day. In 2025, it claimed to have handled over 10 trillion rubles, or around $120 billion, in international payments.

According to Petr Fradkov, chairman of PSB Bank, the service was created to satisfy the need for foreign payments around the world. “We have modified our service to enable remote use from any location in the world. He stated, “This is exactly the main demand of market participants today.” Businesses, according to Fradkov, wanted to set up transfers from their smartphones without complicated paperwork, unforeseen fees, or delays. China is the major payment corridor for the A7, accounting for over 60% of all payments in mid-2026, according to A7 Chief Executive Officer Ilan Shor. Middle Eastern nations are also among its primary destinations.
