An elementary school in downtown Tokyo caught fire on Friday, but all 300 pupils and instructors were either saved or evacuated, according to officials. They stated that a lot of people were hurt while escaping, primarily from breathing in smoke, and that the precise number of casualties is being determined. The Takinogawa No. 3 Elementary School caught fire late on Friday morning, according to the Tokyo Fire Department, close to a music room on the top level of the four-story structure. According to the department, firefighters pulled three students and one instructor out of the building with non-life-threatening injuries.

Eleven people were hurt, according to the Kyodo News Agency, including two kids with broken arms and a teacher with a damaged hip. While firemen battled the fire on the scene, television images showed black smoke rising from fourth-floor windows. Numerous fire engines were used. Later in the afternoon, the fire was put out.
