The Violators and Foreigners Follow-up Sector’s Search and Investigation Department, on behalf of the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai (Iqama Dubai), disclosed that it had dealt with infractions found on social media. Promoting unapproved services pertaining to residency and visa processes was one of these infractions. This move is a component of its continuous efforts to safeguard community members and increase awareness of the significance of using proper channels to get services.

Iqama Dubai’s top concerns, according to Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, are safeguarding community members and boosting confidence in the government services system. He emphasized that part of its commitment to protecting customer rights and making sure they receive services through authorized channels is fighting illicit activities and organizations that promote unapproved services. This is consistent with Dubai’s strategy of offering proactive, digital government services that improve quality of life and provide a dependable, safe service environment.

Investigation and search teams started follow-up and verification procedures as soon as they learned about these practices, according to Major General Dr. Ali bin Ajif Al Zaabi, Assistant Director General of the Violators and Foreigners Follow-up Sector at Dubai Immigration. Before taking the required action, careful monitoring and verification procedures were carried out to determine the type of infractions and the entities at fault.

He continued by saying that the follow-up operations showed that certain organizations were using internet platforms to advertise unapproved services pertaining to residence and visa processes. This might result in people being exploited or false information about governmental processes being spread. He stressed that these practices were addressed and the required actions were taken in accordance with established legal procedures and in consultation with the relevant authorities.
