Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of Dubai’s Executive Council, reviewed several specialised initiatives and projects being implemented by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), such as the rapid intervention vehicle, smart bus station, and soft mobility parking facilities.

Sheikh Hamdan was informed by Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the RTA’s Board of Executive Directors, on the three initiatives and their goals for improving the efficiency and sustainability of the mobility system.

Sheikh Hamdan affirmed that Dubai’s ambitious development initiatives and pioneering projects to improve public well-being, particularly mass transit systems, are testament to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, to advance Dubai’s position as one of the world’s leading cities in adopting innovative solutions and emerging technologies.

Sheikh Hamdan stated, “The variety of futuristic mass transit projects we see today is not the result of infrastructure development priorities alone, but of a comprehensive redefinition of the concept of urban mobility in accordance with the highest international standards, reflecting Dubai’s ambition to be the city that anticipates the future and is most capable of making it a tangible reality.
