Olivia Rodrigo, a singer-songwriter, accompanied Addison Rae during the last act of her Coachella second weekend performance. Olivia Rodrigo came out of the back of the stage to join the singer after Addison stopped her performance to ask the audience if they had heard “any new music this week,” according to “Variety.” Olivia Rodrigo and Rae first collaborated on the song “Headphones On,” trading lines and joining in on the chorus.After the song ended, Rodrigo said, “Coachella, how much do we love Miss Addison?” “Oh my god, I might just drop dead”, Addison Rae stated, giving a nod to Rodrigo’s new hit ‘Drop Dead’.”Can we create some noise? Then, Rodrigo sang her recently released hit live, walking to the front of the stage with Rae to sing the song in unison.

According to “Variety,” “Drop Dead” and its Petra Collins-directed music video were released early on Friday morning. In the video, Rodrigo runs from room to room in the Palace of Versailles before putting on a pink guitar and having a good time. The song is the first taste of her third album, “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love,” which Geffen Records will release on June 12. Dan Nigro, a longtime collaborator who worked on her first two albums, “Sour” and “Guts,” produced the album. Rodrigo will serve as both host and musical guest on “Saturday Night Live” on May 2 in advance of the album’s release. Although she previously performed on the show with hosts Keegan-Michael Key in 2021 and Adam Driver in 2023, this will be her first time hosting.
