In order to promote family stability, raise living standards, and supply decent homes throughout the nation, the United Arab Emirates extended its national housing initiative in 2025. The Cabinet authorized 3,567 housing choices totaling Dhs2.546 billion during the year, with over Dhs478 million allotted in the last quarter. Federal assistance included government grants for low-income families, housing and financing programs in collaboration with national banks, and residential finance.
Additionally, the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure launched a scheme to guarantee funds for housing assistance decisions that prioritize older residents, providing insurance coverage up to age 95 for death or total permanent incapacity. Agreements were reached in Abu Dhabi to build 13 residential communities totaling Dhs106 billion, resulting in the delivery of over 40,000 residences and land parcels by 2029.
The emirate extended repayment periods to 30 years and provided new financial facilities to help homeowners, including as a community support subsidy of Dhs250,000 that will be automatically and retroactively removed from housing loans up to Dhs1.75 million. Over 10,700 residents benefited from Abu Dhabi’s housing benefits, which totaled Dhs15.384 billion over the year.
