Pahang Aerospace City (PAC) and the University Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) on Saturday to collaborate on the development of next-generation autonomous platforms, according to K2, a government-owned company in Abu Dhabi that specializes in advanced autonomous systems and AI-driven technologies. Prior to the “Hi-Tea” event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, which was hosted by His Majesty Sultan Abdullah, the Sultan of Pahang, the LOI was signed.

Sean Teo, Managing Director of K2, Dr. Yatimah Alias, Vice-Chancellor of UMPSA, and Adjunct Professor Nurazmi Abas, CEO of PAC, attended the ceremony, which showcased the growing partnership between K2 and Pahang. A common goal to improve passenger mobility and public safety while laying the groundwork for the responsible implementation of AI-driven systems is reflected in the LOI.

As part of this partnership, K2 will work with UMPSA to find ways to create independent programs and systems that take use of the talent and human capital growth of Malaysian universities. Malaysia’s operations and business technology partner will be PACDB, a national flagship project in the state of Pahang.
