The program, which was started during Ramadan to honor fathers in the United Arab Emirates, aims to create a long-term endowment fund that would be used to treat and care for individuals in need.
Since its inception by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Prime Minister and Vice President of the United Arab Emirates and the ruler of Dubai, the campaign has garnered over 160,560 contributors, demonstrating an overwhelming response from individuals, corporations, and organizations in the public and private sectors.
In addition to meeting urgent medical and therapeutic needs, the campaign aims to enhance the general well-being and quality of life of marginalized populations, encouraging stability and wider societal advancement.
According to Mohammad Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Secretary-General of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), the remarkable outcomes, which exceeded early goals, demonstrate the broad influence of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid’s Ramadan activities.
He added that the UAE is genuinely moved by the humanitarian movement that these initiatives have sparked, which encourages charity and strengthens the country’s position as a global leader in humanitarian and charitable endeavours.
