In 2024, the UAE’s stock markets grew significantly because to IPOs, foreign investments, and a strong economy. Both the Dubai Financial Market and the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange experienced notable rises in trade volumes and market capitalization. This expansion strengthened the UAE’s standing as one of the region’s top investment destinations.
By the end of 2024, the combined market capitalization of the stock markets in Dubai and Abu Dhabi exceeded Dhs3.905 trillion, up from Dhs3.648 trillion at the end of 2023.
Through this performance, the local markets maintained the momentum they had built up over the preceding years, solidifying their standing as one of the most popular investment destinations globally and in the region. They ended 2024 with a remarkable growth of around Dhs257 billion.
At the end of 2024, the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) market capitalisation was Dhs2.998 trillion, up from Dhs2.961 trillion at the end of 2023.
Additionally, the market capitalization of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) increased from Dhs687.5 billion at the end of 2024 to Dhs906.912 billion at the end of 2024.
With Dhs342.4 billion on the ADX and Dhs106.7 billion on the DFM, the local markets brought in over Dhs449 billion in trade value in 2024.
