US President Donald Trump warned he might contemplate striking Iran again if Tehran continues enriching uranium to alarming levels, harshly blasted Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamanei on Friday, and cancelled plans to relax sanctions on Iran.

When the United States conducted air operations against Iranian nuclear targets this weekend, ending a 12-day confrontation with Israel, Trump responded sharply to Khamanei’s opening statements. Trump said that Khamanei’s life had been spared. On June 15, US officials informed Reuters that Trump had blocked an Israeli plot to assassinate the supreme leader.

His Country was decimated, his three evil Nuclear Sites were OBLITERATED, and I knew EXACTLY where he was sheltered, and would not let Israel, or the US Armed Forces, by far the Greatest and Most Powerful in the World, terminate his life,” Trump wrote on social media. “I rescued him from an extremely repulsive and humiliating demise,” he declared.

Iran stated that a possible nuclear agreement was contingent upon the United States ceasing its “disrespectful tone” towards the Supreme Leader. If President Trump truly wants a deal, he should stop hurting his millions of loyal supporters and stop using such a disdainful and unacceptable tone regarding Iran’s Supreme Leader, Grand Ayatollah Khamenei,” Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi wrote in an early Saturday morning post on X.
